Happy September!
Our “End of Summer Family Picnic” is scheduled for Friday, September 20th from 5-7pm. All family members are invited to join us for a picnic supper, music and bingo. Please RSVP with the number of family members who will be joining us by calling 319-465-5415. If you haven’t been to one of our events in the past, we typically wait for family to arrive so they can eat with their loved one, so if you are unable to attend, please let us know that as well.
September 15-21st we celebrate ‘Rehabilitation Awareness Week”. The National Rehabilitation Awareness Foundation’s (NRAF) mission is to educate people about the benefits of rehabilitative services and the impact of physical, occupational and speech therapy. We want to want to congratulate and thank all of our therapy team for their success, commitment and dedication to our residents.
And finally, last month we participated in the Relay for Life event in honor of the Russell Dirks family. Our team raised over $800 with the bake sale, t-shirt sales and generous donations collected throughout the month. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this event. Our thoughts and prayers continue for Russel, Kristin, Jamie and their families.
