Letter from Leann
Happy November!
The holiday season is upon us… already! Monticello Nursing and Rehab will be having its first annual “Holiday Open House and Wreath Walk”. The event is scheduled for Saturday morning, December 1st from 9:30-11:00 am in the 600 Hall/Skilled Rehab Unit. If anyone would be interested in creating and donating a wreath, please contact Leann or Heather at 319-465-5415. We would love your help! These beautiful holiday wreaths, created by (you), our residents, families, friends and staff will be displayed on the suite doors and throughout the rehab unit. During the open house, you are invited to judge your favorite wreath as well as register to win a wreath to add to your own holiday decor. Please join us for an enjoyable morning, filled with the holiday spirit, live holiday music and refreshments; and ease your way into the holiday season with us! We will also be accepting donations for the Monticello Food Pantry during the open house.
Other happenings: On Monday, November 12th we will be honoring our Veterans. At 10:00 am, Above and Beyond will be presenting the Veterans with a pin and a certificate of appreciation, recognizing them for their service. Friends and family are invited to attend and refreshments will be served following the ceremony. Please join us!
Friday morning, November 16th from 9:30-11:00 am you are invited to attend “Medicare 101”, an informational presentation reviewing the various Medicare options, Supplemental Plans, and Medicare Advantage Plans. Gwen Duecker, SHIIP Volunteer Counselor and myself will help you gain a better understanding of the confusing world of Medicare. The program will be held in the back room of Java Jones. Please RSVP to Leann at 319-465-5415 as space is limited.
