Activities in Action
Welcome Spring!
With the weather getting a little warmer spring is just around the corner!! In the month of March, we have a lot to celebrate. It is National Social Work Month, 6th Employee Appreciation Day, 11th Registered Dietician Day, 17th St. Patrick’s Day, 19th first day of Spring, 26th Make Up Your Own Holiday and the 30th Doctor’s Day.
Some of the fun activities we have planned are: Lucky Charm Dominos, Rainbow St. Patrick’s Day Craft, Kool Aid Playdough, Rainbow Cake Mix Bars, Dotty Name Art, March Madness Brackets, Hand-Colored Ornament, Lucky Mint Chip Cookies, Pot O’ Gold Game, Clover All Over Card Game, Roll A Leprechaun, Egg Carton Flowers Craft, and last Creating a Garden in a Plastic Bottle.
To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, we will have a food demo from Chef Kevin, fun games and music with David W. With March Madness around the corner, we welcome the community to come in and fill out their March Madness bracket form. The forms will be by the sign-in sheet by the front door. Winners can come eat lunch with their loved ones. The 26th is “Make Up Your Own Holiday” and MNRC has decided to celebrate the holiday, “Making Cards for Cancer Patient Day”. The cards will then be delivered to different places. For a couple of our activities this month I am asking for donations of egg cartons (not foam) and plastic bottles, the wider necks are easier to work with. Thank You for all the donations! It is much appreciated!
Lastly, don’t forget to change your clocks on March 8th as we spring forward for daylight savings.
