Pennington Square News
Let spring begin!
We're starting this month out with a Euchre Tournament on Sunday, March 4th from 1:00-4:00 pm at Pennington in the main dining area. Last month we had three tables of players and are hoping for even more this month. Please join us for a fun afternoon. During March, we celebrate Women's History Month to highlight the contributions of iconic women such as Florence Nightingale. You're invited to join us for a discussion on March 6th where we learn about Florence and how she became a historical symbol for women.
Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead on Sunday, March 11th as we begin daylight savings time. Once again, our monthly brunch will be held March 20th from 10:30-11:30 am. Chef Jason and our dietary staff put on quite an amazing spread for our tenants and community members who are interested in learning more about assisted living. The tenants are also very excited about our next bus outing to Stone City on March 21st where we are going to eat an early supper at The General Store.
We have a new entertainer coming in March! David G. Smith, singer-song writer will be performing bluegrass favorites on March 28th at 2:00 pm. There are so many ways that music is beneficial, such as relieving boredom, motivating movement, rekindling positive memories, shifting negative thinking patterns, calming nervousness, encouraging happy thoughts and promoting social interaction.
We hope you all have a happy March filled with lots of luck!
