Spring is right around the corner and I think we are all ready for some warmer weather.  This past month we revised our Monticello Nursing and Rehab commercial which airs on KCRG during the noon news and the 5:00 pm news.  Focusing on our skilled “Rehab-to-Home” program, we wanted to let people know that 83% of our short-term rehab patients return home.  Local resident and rehab graduate, Loren Freese has a starring role in the commercial, so make sure you check it out!  We will also post the commercial on our website at www.monticellocampus.com. We are proud of Loren and his accomplishments, as well as our therapy and nursing staff who work so hard to get our patients back on their feet and enjoying life again!  Remember to tell your doctor that you choose Monticello Nursing and Rehab for your therapy needs.

Our annual community Easter Egg Hunt is scheduled for Saturday, March 31st at 10:00 am in the back lawn. Please note the time is different than last year, it is an hour earlier this year! Last year we were so fortunate to have the girls high school track team and their coach, Darrin Reade help us with the event and look forward to their help again this year.  We love our volunteers, and especially the kids who take time out of their busy schedules and give back to our community. A very special thank you to Marissa Recker who has been volunteering at our building since the beginning of the semester.  Marissa helps with our afternoon activities and we appreciate the extra hands and her kind and generous spirit!!  If you or your organization, club or team are looking for ways to volunteer, please call 319-465-5415 and ask for Leann or Heather.

March is also “National Social Worker’s Month”.  Thank you, Lori Jensen for all that you do for the residents and their families!
