Letter from Leann
During June, we teamed up with the Alzheimer’s Association and participated in the campaign, “The Longest Day” to raise awareness and money to end Alzheimer’s Disease. Our NuStep Challenge was a huge success and together we logged 53,832 steps, over 26 miles!!! Thank you to everyone who joined the cause by wearing purple, buying a t-shirt, taking a turn on the NuStep or making a monetary donation. It was an amazing team effort!! Check out our Facebook page to enjoy all the pictures from the day.
Another reminder to mark your calendars for Sunday, August 12, 2018. We will be celebrating Monticello Nursing and Rehab’s 50th birthday with a carnival from 2:00-4:30 pm. A ceremony recognizing several individuals who had an important role in the opening of “Senior Care, Inc” will begin at 2:00 pm in the main lobby/dining area followed by cake and ice cream. A celebration outdoors with a live string band, Bingo, bouncy house, face painting and carnival food will follow the ceremony. Tours of Monticello Nursing and Rehab will be ongoing throughout the event which is open to the public. We hope to see all of you there.
Once again we will be participating in the 4th of July parade, taking a few residents in the golf cart. If any family or friends would like to walk with us, we would be happy to have you. Contact Leann or Heather for details. If you prefer to watch the parade somewhere along the route, make sure you get our attention so we can say hi and reward you with some candy and other goodies!! Wishing you all a very happy and safe 4th of July!!
