Activities in Action

Happy New Year! Hope everyone had a great holiday season with loved ones. With the help of some residents, we got are decorations down from Christmas. We will use some of the bare Christmas trees to go “deer hunting” using nerf guns on January 5th. Winter weather is officially upon us. This month we will be making some winter crafts including a winter hat, button snowflakes, doily snowmen, and cookie cutter bird feeders. Be sure you don’t miss out on our snowball fight January 14th and Tie Dye Party January 18th.  To beat the winter blue staff and residents will have fun dressing up every Friday in January.

During the month of January, we celebrate National Activity Professionals week January 23rd-28th. Activities are an important part of our resident’s daily routine. MNRC provides activities Monday-Friday at 10:00AM and 2:15PM. Every month we do two weekend activities and one night activity. Bingo, baking, happy hour, spa day, bus trips, games, crafts, music, and church services are some of the activities you will see on our monthly calendar. As activity professionals our goal is to provide activities that are only fun but also provide social interactions, intellectual stimulation, physical health, and enhance quality of life. Thanks to all the Activity Professionals out there!
