Merry Christmas from the activity department!

December is always a busy month for our department. We start off the month with a Christmas photo shoot. Each resident will get the chance to send out a Christmas card to a person of their choice that will have their Christmas photo inside. Feel free to let me know if you would like any extra copies of this photo. On Monday, December 17th we will be taking the Camp Courageous bus to see Reflections in the Park Light Show in Dubuque. Residents will eat supper early this day and the bus will arrive at 6:00 pm.

Our Resident Christmas Party will be December 19th at 2:30 pm. Please note this is different from our Family Christmas Party which is on Friday, December 14th. During the Resident Christmas Party residents will enjoy hot chocolate, cookies, music and a gift to open thanks to our caring staff. To end the month, we will have a New Year’s celebration where we will reminisce about 2018 and make our resolutions for 2019 while enjoying some appetizers and drinks.

Just a reminder I do not send out the newsletter in the mail unless you tell me otherwise. If you would like to start receiving the newsletter in the mail I would be happy to do so! You can also find the newsletter on our website www.monticellocampus.com. You can view the newsletter under the Activities & News tab under “Newsletter”. If you would automatically like to receive the newsletter in your email each month you can subscribe on the website. This is found under the newsletter tab on the far-right side. To view the calendar, you must click on the Activities & News tab and you will see “To view the Monticello Nursing & Rehabilitation activity calendar click here”. If you have any questions regarding the newsletter or calendar, please feel free to give me a call at (319) 465-5415.

Lastly, I would like to thank all our wonderful volunteers who have helped us throughout the year. All those that donated items, made aprons/walker bags, helped at bingo, decorated for Christmas, provided help with activities, musical entertainment and church services, we appreciate you all.
