Letter from Leann
Often after a short hospital stay due to an illness or surgery, an individual requires rehabilitation services to regain their strength and return home safely and independently. Our REHAB-TO-HOME program allows individuals to work with quality physical, occupational and speech therapists in our REHAB-TO-HOME UNIT during this short-term stay. Did you know that 83% of our short-term stay residents return home? Our skilled rehab unit offers large private suites with private bathrooms and provides our guests with a bed, 42-inch flat screen TV (cable package included), nightstand and comfortable seating area. You can rest assured knowing you will feel at home while concentrating on getting stronger. Tell your doctors you choose Monticello Nursing and Rehab for your rehabilitation needs.
Looking ahead in February, we will be celebrating Valentine’s Day on February 14th with our annual King/Queen and Prince/Princess luncheon. During the week leading up to Valentine’s Day, all residents will cast their vote to recognize a special resident for each title (King, Queen, Prince, Princess). Family members of the “Royal Family” will be invited to attend the special luncheon which includes lemon chicken, shrimp skewers, garden vegetable rice, French green beans with bacon and fresh bread.
On another note, during the admission process I let families know what each resident will need during their stay with us, such as clothing items, any personal supplies, etc. Residents do not need cash money during their stay and we ask that if they do like to have money on hand, that we keep it safe for them in the nurse’s station. This will prevent the unfortunate loss or misplacement, or money going through the laundry in their clothing pockets. Thank you!
