Activities in Action

Happy April from Activity Department!

With Spring finally here we will be going outside to get some fresh air as much as possible. We are looking forward to taking residents on golf cart rides around town.

During the month of April, we have many things to celebrate. Easter, Volunteer Week, National Laundry & Linen Week, National Occupational Month, Hairstylist Day, Administrative Professional Day, & Earth Day. We are very excited to hold the Community Easter Egg Hunt on April 9th at 10:00 Am. Location is the backyard of 400 Hall. Residents will be busy filling Easter Eggs!

Residents get to have their own Easter Egg Hunt on April 21st at 2:15 we will start in the round area. April 20th staff on 1st and 2nd shift will get to go on a Green Eggs and Ham Hunt.

To start off the month we will celebrate April Fools by learning facts. Throughout the month residents will participate in Easter themed activities! Some of these include Filling Easter Eggs, Egg-Cellent Cactus Craft, Coloring Easter Eggs, Carrot Pinecone Craft, Carrot Snack Bags, Forest Funnies, Flower Pretzels & making Sock Bunnies.

March 16th, we started eggs in the incubator! We look forward to watching them hatch around April 5th. We did this last year and the residents have really enjoyed checking on the chicks and what happens every day to the developing chick.

Have a Happy Easter
