Welcome Spring!

The weather is warming up and spring is just around the corner! In the month of March, we have a lot to celebrate. It is National Social Work Month, Employee Appreciation Day on March 5th, Registered Dietician Day on the 10th, St. Patrick’s Day, the first day of spring, and Doctor’s Day on March 30th.

Who doesn’t love to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all month long?! We will be making edible leprechaun necklaces, four leaf clovers, playing fun pot o’ gold dice game, enjoying a clover all over card game, frosting shamrock cookies, and making a rainbow masterpiece to display. In the afternoon on March 17th, we will have a St. Patrick’s Day party with mint chocolate chip ice cream and shamrock fudge while listening to festive music and playing games. Don’t forget to wear green!!

The first day of spring is on Saturday, March 20th. We are excited to start going outside and seeing the many beautiful birds that visit in the spring/summer. Residents will be making cookie cutter bird feeders and a bird bookmark craft. Making smoothies, playing a quilt card game, creating butterfly snack bags, and enjoying some chili and beer are a few more activities we look forward to throughout the month.

Lastly, don’t forget to change your clocks on March 14th as we spring forward for daylight savings!
