Happy Holidays!

November didn’t go as planned but we are hopeful December will bring us some Christmas cheer! We have a month full of one-to-one activities planned. Some of our holiday crafts include making nutcracker and sugar plum ornaments, Christmas suncatchers, candy cane candle holders, and decorating snowflakes. Residents will be frosting sugar cookies and making loaded holiday cookie bars for all to enjoy. As in years past, residents will be sending a Christmas card to a person of their choosing on the 21st. We will continue to do picture bingo in the afternoon every Friday. This month picture bingo will be holiday themed.

The annual resident Christmas party will look a little different this year. Santa will be delivering presents to all on December 23rd in the afternoon. While opening their presents residents will enjoy a hot cocoa bar with snacks provided room to room. Staff that picked a resident off the angel tree will be delivering their gift the week of December 21st. Thanks to all the staff that purchased a gift for a resident! Residents will celebrate the new year on December 31st in the afternoon! We are excited to celebrate the new year and say goodbye to 2020!!

We will miss all the families that would have attended our Family Christmas Party but encourage you to enjoy a meal or visit your loved one via Zoom, Skype, or FaceTime. It is always appreciated that you call to set up a time to make sure of availability for a video chats or window visits. As always, anyone is are welcome to bring presents/items to the front door and we can give them to your loved one.
