Activities in Action
Welcome April!
During the month of April, we have many things to celebrate. April 15-21, we celebrate National Volunteer Week. The activity department would like to thank our many volunteers for their dedication and time. With as big of a building as we have, our volunteers make it possible to have successful activities with a large group of residents. Looking to volunteer? Church service, crafts, bingo, spa day, and music are just a few of the activities volunteers help with. If you are interested in volunteering or would like to start volunteering more please contact me at 319-465-5415 to discuss options! Having a copy of the activity calendar is a great way to see the different activities we provide and at what time. You can find the calendar at our website www.monticellocampus.com under the Activities and News tab or stop by the facility and we can gladly get you a copy.
Not only do we celebrate our volunteers this month but also our administrative professionals, Cassandra Wood and Carmen Kracke. Cassandra, our business office manager helps families with any finance questions, Medicaid applications, long term care claims, and payroll. Carmen, our medical records personal sets up transportation for residents, does staff scheduling, files medical records and makes sure they are kept up to date. Please be sure to thank these two ladies for their hard work and dedication to Monticello Nursing and Rehab.
I would like to invite all staff, residents, families, and community members to attend a craft sale on Saturday, April 14th from 10:00 am-noon in the main entry way (by the fireplace) at MNRC. Becky Voss has been kind enough to come again to sell wreaths and home décor at an affordable price. Spring, Mother’s Day, patriotic events, and sports décor will be sold ranging from $3-$12. All proceeds with benefit the activity department!
