We are delighted to announce the appointment of Michael Weston, M.D., as the new Medical Director of Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Campus as our current Medical Director, Dr. Philip First, DO plans his retirement.

Dr. Michael Weston, MD is a family medicine specialist and has been practicing for 24 years. As a family medicine specialist, Dr. Weston is uniquely trained to provide specialized care for health issues that are of common occurrence during every stage of the patient’s life. In addition to diagnosing and treating acute and chronic illnesses, Dr. Weston provides routine health screenings and discusses lifestyle changes to prevent illnesses before they develop. His working relationship with specialists will also allow him to continue care that needs specific expertise.

We want to thank Dr. First for his dedication to our residents during his tenure with us. We wish him all the best as he embarks on retirement.
We want to reassure our residents and their families that this transition will be seamless, but please do not hesitate to reach out to me with questions.

During the month of April, residents or families of residents will be receiving a survey. This survey is very similar to the survey we sent out last fall. We highly encourage participation from all recipients, so we can accurately gather data that will enable us to identify areas in which we may be able to improve our service to you. We also would like to hear feedback in areas that we are doing well, so we can earn our goal of a 5-star survey result.

As always, feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.

Happy Spring!

Laurissa Martin, Administrator
